'Raising public awareness to environmental issues from an aerial perspective'
Who are we?
The EnviroDrones mission is a simple one. Better the environment through the safe and effective use of UAVs or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. (Drones as they have come to be known recently in the media) Over the years we have discovered numerous ways in which our UAVs can be used to benefit the environment. Check out the 'EnviroDrone Uses' page for a list and brief description of each use of our drones.
We are interested in hearing from you - if you have a use for our drones, drop us a line and lets explore some possibilities.
Why do we do it?
Stop and consider for a minute, what we will be leaving the next generation of humans to live on for a planet if we consider our current rate growth and expansion. We are "evolving" at a rate that is not sustainable and if something doesn't change soon, our children are going to be left with a serious problem and a way of life that is drastically different from the one that we (or our parents' generation) grew up with.
How do we do it?
Providing an aerial imaging service for the betterment of the environment does come with a cost. The UAVs themselves are costly not to mention all of the support equipment involved such as computers, imaging devices, software, ground vehicles, and other mission specific infrastructure. To offset those costs, fees may be negotiated on a mission-specific basis. That being said, EnviroDrones.org is able to operate at a fraction of the cost that other aerial imaging companies do, through the sharing of infrastructure such as the UAVs and support equipment from our sister company, Aerial Imaging Solutions (aerial-imaging.ca) Envirodrones.org missions are done as inexpensively as possible, while using state of the art equipment and aerial imaging techniques. Donations are also accepted, which go towards supporting public awareness (this website) and the research of new and innovative ways to use the UAVs for environmental aerial study. If you wish to donate, please contact us to make arrangements.
